Pet-friendly restaurants

Many restaurants in the Vuokatti travel area warmly welcome man’s best friend! Explore the area’s pet-friendly restaurants and enjoy a dining experience together with the whole pack; some restaurants even offer special treats for dogs.

At the A’ la Katti slope restaurant, pets are welcome on the terrace.

At Bistro Nuas, pets are welcome inside the restaurant.

Pets are welcome on the terrace at Café Vaaran Tupa.

Haapala Brewery Restaurant welcomes pets both inside and on the terrace.

Pets are welcome on the terrace at Hesburger Vuokatti.

Holiday Club Katinkulta allows pets on their terrace. For other options, you can inquire with the server, as we accommodate based on the current customer volume and situation.

Pets are welcome in the bar and on the terrace at Restaurant Amarillo.

Restaurant Kippo allows pets on its terrace.

Pets are welcome on the terrace at Restaurant Pirtti.

Vuokatti Sport’s lobby café is 100% pet-friendly, and at Restaurant O’las, you can dine with your pet either on the terrace or at the tables in the lobby café area.

If you’re visiting our western neighbour, Kajaani, the following restaurants welcome pets:

Kitchen & Bar Kajanus at Hotel Kajanus allows pets in the bar area and on the terrace.

If you’re visiting our eastern neighbour, Kuhmo, the following restaurants are pet-friendly:

Dogs are welcome in the café and restaurant areas of Lentiira Holiday Village. The restaurant operates by reservation, and the café is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. between 8th June and 30th August 2024.

Restaurant Kanteletar at Hotel Kalevala welcomes dogs in certain parts of the restaurant. During summer, the terrace features a dedicated dining area for furry friends, with a menu that includes cooked game meat. Vuppe dog beer is also available. Water and scratches are complimentary!

Dog Dining Etiquette

To ensure a pleasant restaurant visit with your four-legged friend, please remember the following:

  1. Walk your dog before entering the restaurant.
  2. Keep your dog on a leash in the restaurant, including on the terrace.
  3. Make sure your dog does not disturb other customers.
  4. Do not bring a dog that is not social or does not get along with other dogs or people.
  5. Consider whether your dog will be comfortable in the restaurant and follow the restaurant’s own guidelines.
  6. Make sure your dog has water, especially on warm summer days.
