Enjoy a relaxed afternoon/evening-hike in the Hiidenportti Nationalpark with a delicious dinner from open fire. The evening-light of Kainuu is spectacular, the park gets silent and nature shows its magic with sunset coming closer and maybe the first mystic patches of fog over the gorge and nearby wet areas. We start at the northern entry of the park (coordinates are given after the booking) and hike along the Hiddenkierros to the top of the gorge with beautiful views over the forested area. Some very old tar pits can be seen also, remnants of the old times. Our tasty outdoor-dinner is served at a fireplace after the gorge, facing a small lake. A fresh salad, grilled vegetables meat products, selfbaked bread, maybe pancakes for dessert. Let yourself be surprised! A great way of finishing your day or week in the Finnish forests. We hike back to the car, as soon as the sun sets, to be sure to be back before it gets too dark. Take weatherproof clothing with you, good hiking shoes and if available a headlamp - just in case!
