Autumn is the most important part in the year of a sleddog. After a relaxed summer, we start training again earliest mid-September. In groups of 7 - 10 dogs we build up again their power and endurance, starting with short runs, step by step increasing the distance. Before the training, they get a small breakfast and some warm-up-time in the freerun-area, during the run, we have breaks for serving them water or even a little snack on longer distances. You can sit on our training-cart at the beginning and later on drive your own team back home. After the run we serve them a meatsoup and dryfood, let them for another moment in the freerun area to loosen the muscles and relax. Then it is time for us for a warm lunch, if possible served from open fire. The afternoon is filled with playing, brushing, massaging and just have quality-time with the 4-legged athletes. You can warm up anytime in the house, if you need a break. Coffee and cookies are served in late afternoon, time for a lot more of interesting stories about our dogs and how we care for them during the whole year. If you wish so, you can also join for the evening-feeding or leave earlier.
